ChrisBurkard - I’ve never been good at saying goodbye, ever

I’ve never been good at saying goodbye, ever. Maybe because it makes something permanent that I am not ready to accept. Often the picture taking process can be an emotional experience for me, the moments that really strike a chord internally I tend to not look at for awhile and shove into the crevices of my hard drives. These last days of the Volcanic eruption proved to be a very palpable reminder of my time flying with - i’ve been looking through the photos recently and finally was able to crack a smile. I’ve realized being a photographer can be, at times, a double edged sword. You tend to document everything you love, giving yourself an endless memory bank for better or worse.
