Found along coral reefs from North Carolina and Bermuda to Brazil and throughout the Caribbean, you can often spot arrow crabs like this one in rocky areas where they can easily hide. While its carapace measures in at under three inches, its long, spindly legs can grow to three times the crab’s body length, giving this small crab a significant lift.
