Los Angeles' beloved mountain lion, P-22, was made famous around the world by iconic image, photographed beneath the Hollywood sign and featured in Magazine. Today, we mourn his loss and honor his legacy. Tragically, he was struck by a vehicle and had to be euthanized yesterday, Dec. 17, 2022. Steve's photo and the reporting by his partner sparked a movement to protect southern California’s last mountain lions and all the wildlife living within two large protected areas divided by the 101 Freeway north of L.A. Today, the world’s largest wildlife overpass is being built to connect these two areas with the completion date in 2024. We are honored to be able to partner with Steve and offer this iconic photo in the Winter Collection both as open edition and larger limited edition. Proceeds from the sale of Hollywood Cougar will benefit a nonprofit that brings the most vital issues facing big cats into the spotlight.
